Natalie: Today on the show, I'm speaking with Desiree Dubuan from an Empowered Woman and she discusses how she is helping women in business all around the country and all around the world, so stay tuned.

Natalie: Hi I'm Natalie Ledwell and this is The Inspiration Show. And today my special guest is Desiree Dubuan, hi Desiree.

Desiree: Hi, how are you?

Natalie: Great!

Desiree: Great seeing you again, it's been a while.

Natalie: It has been a while when me met in a live event on January this year, so it's been a while since we've been able to get together.

Desiree: Well we made it happen.

Natalie: We did. Now the reason I have Desiree here is that she's doing some incredible work, helping women in business. So let's start with your story and how you got to... let's talk about the network of which is your project at the moment.

Desiree: Great. Well, Empowered Women is turning its 7th year this month. And it started in my living room when I was coming out of real state, and I wanted to empower women to get their own businesses, their own business. Doing that down time, and I started doing it at my house, with 5 to 6 people and with next month, and next month, and then we outgrew that. And we said, I could take it to a large place and really get some attraction with it, and we did. It's been 7 years, we do TV shows, radio shows, mass seminars and really exotic events like lunches at beautiful hotels, we also do things that send out our photo club, we'll do things on yachts, next month we'll do a hair-slam, we will do Harley make-over, we get our hair, our make-up, we wardrobe, photographs which is really having a good time. Cause we really think we can work that anywhere. It could be on their head dryer, get some major deals then.

Natalie: Exactly, and that's the thing. I actually did a call recently with a guy called Matt Boggs and he has a product called; Unlocking, or Cracking the Man Code and he, fantastic... what he talks about women, how, what really gives us juice, is connection, connection to other women. And that's why I think, you know network is so important. So I learned that you offer lot of support through, you know, shows, and all that kind of thing. So are the women now that you are helping get into business?

Desiree: You know, everybody, I mean lot of transitions, lot of people, that have been in the corporate world, have been professionals and I think the change in the last couple of years is people do broke up and got up and decide to do whatever they wanted to do at this point, some by choices, some by chance. And they just decided they wanted to grab their dreams, and it's so easy, I mean much easier than ever has been, with the internet and different tools that are available and the programs available. Ride in your closet, a new bed, people offering big businesses in their beds, with their laptop. So I find that a lot of women are, the ages vary from young, aren't doing anything from schools, colleges and love the owner from 55 to 65 people that are supposed to be retired. Now they want to live their dream, now they want to do what they always want to do. We have one lady that is approaching 90 years old and her dream was... she comes to our meetings, gets dressed-up and gets there all the new energy and she's doing something called; The Golden Years of Dating Service, called the golden years it's never too late for love. And she says she created an online directory of you know this business, and how far she gets with it. We don't know but it's inspiring us, motivating. So, and it's just having enough knowledge and education and how they do it quickly and without, getting funding's, we have funds.

Natalie: And that's the thing to I think a lot of women now are going... whether where they were in corporate or whether it's you know that they children of their time now, and they've come to college, it's like what's next? And they're choosing something that's passionate to them.

Desiree: Yes, yes and there are so many passions that you can implement a business, create a business model around it and supplement your income, and desperate about it.

Natalie: So what is some of the challenges that are facing women right now in business?

Desiree: I think the biggest challenge is still funding. Because funding allows you to get the education, gets you at a team, gets you this support systems, even get to the tools, you know, to be able to do it and now with lot of them not having the access to the inquilines in their home, so current lines and the one that they use that, there's a lot of options available... they'll be able to stick around. The safe example say; you can get all kinds of laws and notion laws in a to do a business plan, well professionally you get a business plan and that is a couple of thousand dollars, you know the professional one for Maric Angels or for the percent for a hundred percent or they pay to do that. So just being able to have access to some kind of funding at a real estate, even 5,000, 10,000 is a small level we get them up in going so that's the biggest thing, then they can pay for the training, and the tools and get the support that they need.

Natalie: Yep, and how about Mind Setting business?

Desiree: Well that's, if you know, that's the... starts with the mind-set but a lot of people come out with that big, you know gang-hole, they're excited about it and then that little minute, they ran into a challenge or obstacle and then they're kind a twizzles down, so stay motivated and I think a lot of them really don't realize for some bulbs, it sounds funny, fun, and looks easy but they don't know their mind has to stay, starts with the mind. That's what takes you all the way through, that's what takes you from the beginning to the end, and that keeps, that makes you... enables you to overcome hurdles and the challenges and define the money or create the money that you need to be able to create, so starts there. That's why your program Mind Movies is so powerful because it's not only just something you write in affirmation board, or vision board, it's something that really speaks and moves, and you know it just penetrates the soul, the spirit, wherever they are at that moment.

Natalie: Yeah.

Desiree: Cause everybody has their days.

Natalie: Well we have our days, and that's the thing if the goal is big enough, mordacious enough then you will... you know heating up against challenges and obstacles, so yeah. So tells us about some of the women that are involved in the network, some of the different businesses and things so we can get some idea, some people who may be thinking about getting into a new business.

Desiree: Oh gosh, we have some fascinating businesses, we have a lot of coaches, and we have a lot of the professionals, the lawyers and attorneys and so forth but for example, one of the attorneys has taken her law by 27 years and she's created this program called New Business Book Camp, she's cause there is 10 things that... her program was like 10 ways not to think of business overnight, from the legal aspect she has seen how business has went under and she defend the business because of the things that did not do correctly, as far as insurance policies or different things of that type. Another one lady is an anesthesiologist and she's created this little package, with little panty, prior to getting waxed, and so you wear it before it get waxed, and then you clear the area. The ladies made aprons, I really didn't know they made aprons, she has the most fascinating hip, color and style, and these are all wear out if you want to put this apron on. So wear it around the house much better for some of the outfits you have, as far as aprons. So these different businesses have been created, the jewelry, the arts, the different products, some are very technical, some are from a lot of engineers, some of them, last night we were talking to a young lady who has created the little hoop for the purses, this little things, things that are convenient and women know that we need and they do. , so from one to the other.

Natalie: And it's incredible to, you know, I mean all that she wear post the job but the internet, it's like the game changer.

Desiree: Yes.

Natalie: You know, it's not like you have to lay up to this and put up a store and hope the people will come in, you have an online, online you know, store and your clients are worldwide.

Desiree: Yes, yes, expands, something that expands. Local, can now go global and they can put things together, they are getting themselves to have tools, after lots of the tools can do it and does open up a lot of doors. And people of some of the small companies have come really, really big. By something really simple, you know food product, or sauce or something of that type, get it all in there.

Natalie: So what, what's your mission? What's your mission with the network?

Desiree: Our mission is to really provide the resources, the education and motivation for women in business. And no matter where they are, where they are starting, fixing or building a business because it is a game changer, it is what's going to happen, it is to rescue our economy, and it foresees what's going to happen in the future...

Natalie: Absolutely.

Desiree: And so we run the world, and so put them to really get the foundation, support that they need, and we have the sisterhood perhaps, hold the hands and pull us up, benefits everybody.

Natalie: And to, and so do you need to be in California to be a part of this?

Desiree: No, we have women all over, we have women in Australia, we love, we're looking to go to Australia next year, Canada, Australia, South Africa, some ladies in France and most of them in United States but because we have a lot of online process, like TV shows, radio shows or tele-calls and classes and things like that are online, then they can be anywhere. And then come to California and see us in person, we'll love it.

Natalie: Yeah, and you know I think now even, you know we've heard all the talk about 2012 and these changes coming and you know, and the, you know, it's just incredible like a friend of mine went to, like I think some Libertarian Convention on the weekend about more changes that are probably coming with our financial system and you know, none of us really know what's happening, which is now the changes are coming and to be able to be part of the network like this way, you're getting out of the tools and no matter what happens, you had the skills and the knowledge and the mind-set to be able to go right before the games changed? Okay, the rules are different, just know what the new rules are and just keep going.

Desiree: Exactly. Because it's good to having the mind-set, that's why gain, just having that foundation, without the foundation you'll crawl, you'll fall, you know, you'll struggle through it. You need it because it will take you all the way through.

Natalie: Yeah, and that's the thing, also the other thing is that going into business you don't have to do it on your own.

Desiree: True, true.

Natalie: How a network like this is just so interesting, you know your power, it's like mastermind.

Desiree: It is. And have the resources like yourself, you sharing your information and your story with ladies tomorrow and that's like, you don't know how many lives you've lift I mean, you just stick out of the moment and you will have this opportunity, because it's just a great model, we have a lot of great female models now and we did have before and willing to give back and share and help us to be really powerful.
