Natalie: Today my special guest is Michelle Bersell. We'll talk about her new book; FEEL: Feel Every Emotion as Love. Now she tells us how negative emotions aren't necessarily bad but they are but they are actually important messages for us. So stay tuned to find out how.
Natalie: Hi I'm Natalie Ledwell and this is the Inspiration Show. And today my special guest is Michelle Bersell. Hi Michelle, how are you?
Michelle: Great Natalie. How are you?
Natalie: Great! Thank you. Now everyone here is been waiting a little bit of book review about your book that's being released tomorrow I think is it.
Michelle: That's right.
Natalie: That's right. Ok so before we get into that, let's just introduce who you are and what your story is so that people can get a feel of who you are.
Michelle: There you go. Well my background is I'm a psycho-therapist and also a life coach. And I went to a point where I was about to drop all this work because I was really struggling with my feelings, so here I was, I was trained how to work with the law of attraction and try to work with shifting the feelings and yet I was having the worst time. You know just like negative feelings would come up and ii don't know what to do with them. Until I just decided that you know what, I'm afraid and I'm totally stepping out of this work, I can't do this anymore. That is when I started getting waking up at 4:30 in the morning for 9 months straight, cheering with me. It was like this information was downloaded about how we understand our emotions currently is not deservingness, it is not a feminine way, at there needs to be a way that we receive our emotions and be able to reclaim them so that we can work with them. Because you know my problems are every time a negative feeling show up, I was like; oh no! No! I don't want to experience this, how do I get out of this fast because I don't want to attract bad things into my life. So what came through was just life-changing because it finally allowed me to have peace with all of my feelings, and in doing so really supported being able to map, being able to use law of attraction and in a peaceful way.
Natalie: Cause that's the thing like you know, I often get emails from a lot of people cause we talk about you know starting from a happy place and you having a foundation of positive vibration, but have this negative thoughts and it's like, you can't beat yourself up every time you are having negative thought because everyone has them, like it's just normal. So what are some of the insights that you had in a battle of emotions, like where did they come from or you know what's happening with their emotions?
Michelle: Well what I received is actually that this is God's gift coming through to support us. So how we have been trained to understand our negative feelings, unconsciously trained because we call them, the fact that we call them negative says something. And it's because the way that we understand them is attached to our ego, it's attached to fear and what I would show is the same stone, should mean like stones on my path that I was trying to get rid-off, or kick'em out of the way. You flip the stone all over, you'll be able to read loving guidance so that the same stone that you were, you know was abbreviating you is now giving you direct guidance as to how you navigate to your path, with greater ease, greater efficiency, so it's just like we have an option, we can look at these stones far from the energy of fear or we can look at them through the energy of love. And that's what I was, that's the guidance I received, that each feeling has its own specific guidance of love trying to support us on our path.
Natalie: Right. Cause when I, you know if you read the Abraham Hex books, now it talked about how emotions is like to roam about to check whether you are on the right path. So I think what I hear you saying was that, even if it's an emotion that we don't necessarily want to have, let's not call them negative, it's really like a learning lesson, or it's something, or something is trying to tell us that we need to make certain choices, is that right?
Michelle: It's right and what's trying to come through is actually very positive, very loving message and so. Let's take anger for instance, you know, anger is like, oh my gosh, stay away from anger it's so toxic right! And that's when we understand it from our ego that the loving guidance coming through our anger is an alarm saying; honey, you are not claiming your power right now, you need to claim all of your power, that's all that this is about, to claim it from love, rather than fear what is lame and toxic and all that stuff. So it's really the loving guidance that we want to hear, and when were... when we allow that, and which is very helpful for me with love attraction stuff because part of the love attraction is the love allowing and we if we aren't really allowing, our settles to experience that which we are when we experience negative feeling, or when I wasn't I'd say that. Based on how we used to know negative feelings, but from this new stand point, this what I call a feminine perspective, not based on gender but based on feminine energy that allows us to receive we can receive these emotions rather than to push them away, and then they support us. And here's the kicker Natalie which I just absolutely love, if you think about it, emotion is our fuel to our thoughtful intention, it's that energetic fuel and you are using half of our energetic fuel, the positive. Now we get to use the full game it. Now we understand the full in it. And that's what really supported me, and supported others who you know have used our understanding, you know to get us into a comfortable, where we feel comfortable on our own skin. How we've got half of this fuel to get us out of our comfort zone, and really do what our heart is really calling us to do. And really make those intentions into reality.
Natalie: Yeah, excellent, and that's the thing you know, when we're talking about law of attraction, emotions play a big part in that, because you know when we talk about visualizing you also need to feel those emotions as well. But you bring up a really important point, because you can't force anything, especially with law of attraction. Yes you know got to set your intention, you've got to be able to visualize and feel those emotions, but you know we're talking about not needing to know how, not being married to how, not forcing that but you talked about the law of allowing which really means that, okay, now that I've set my intention, and I know what it is and I'm visualizing, I need to step back cause you know what, what's gonna be will be. Of course I'm taking action into that direction, but you can't be forcing it which is you know exactly what you're saying. You are these the things that you are covering in your book?
Michelle: it is! This is all in my new book it's called FEEL, which is an acronym that stands for Feel Every Emotion as Love. Turn your negative feelings into your greatest allies. And with that, I think one of the cool things about it is that it's been compared to Louise Hay's, You Can Heal Your Life, that chapter where she did list all the physical ailments, I have a chapter where I list over 60 negative feelings and I give the people small self-ego version that were used to hearing and then I also give them the empowered self-version that's trying to come through, that hard time hearing when our ego is so loud. So, that's what is been helpful for people and really makes this an exciting book because it's really one of a kind reference book for our emotional well-being in this way.
Natalie: Yes. Fantastic, it sounds so amazing! Now that it's releasing tomorrow, now this before we took you the way back and find it, now you've been talking quite about love attraction, and it's interesting that as a psychotherapist that you are so involved with law of attraction. What are some incidences or things that have happened in your life where law attraction is being applied?
Michelle: I think law of attraction is constantly in play, I mean that's just how I, how I see the world. So I think that's what led me out of the traditional practice of psychotherapy because the ways, disease and mental-illness are defined, did not really sit well with me. That's when I shifted into life coaching cause I knew that there is something bigger I'll play and that we do have ability to bring forward what's coming from our heart, and to me it's just a daily, a daily component. I got some one thing that is fun to share is that, you know with this book, I really wanted it to reach as many people as possible and found out recently that it's going to be a gift in the Emmy, Emmy Awards in the gift bag. So I'm excited about it, cause you know how this is going to come forward. So and I guess that's exactly what you were saying with the allowing piece it's like, I set forward then how can we expand this so that emotions are more cool. That's it, my kind of emotions like how do I make emotions really cool? And you know get it more well-known and that's what happens. So, you know I think it's how it plays in our lives all the times. Little things and big things like that.
Natalie: Exactly. You know that's a pro example, that you know again, not forcing but focusing on that end-result, you know I'm sure that it was like some transmitting and somehow you could never plan for that. You never plan you know, it just happens because you are in alignment with what it is that you want and doing to elicit law of attraction which is awesome.
