Do you have a morning ritual that sets the tone for the rest of your day?
For me, it is listening to an audiobook while exercising or simply walking by the marina.
I love how just doing seemingly small things like walking or reading a book can inspire us to make significant changes in our lives.
This is why today, I want to share 3 cool mindset tips that I’ve learned from 3 of my all-time favorite books that I hope become your favorite too.
1. Atomic Habits by James Clear
If you’re looking to adopt new habits, then you’ll love this book by James Clear.
What I thought was most interesting is a hack he shares about treating your daily rituals like they're a part of who you are – your identity.
For example, let's say you want to start getting into shape and being healthier.
Instead of just saying, "I'm going to exercise," you could start telling yourself, "I'm a fit and healthy person."
So, when you're deciding what to eat, what to drink, or whether to work out, that identity you've created guides you.
You think, "What would a fit and healthy person do?" And then it becomes more natural to make the right choices.
And here's the cool part – this also works for breaking bad habits.
Instead of focusing on quitting smoking or drinking, which can be tough because we often think of ourselves as smokers or drinkers, you can switch it up.
You can tell yourself, "I'm a fit and healthy person," and that can help you beat those bad habits.
Isn't it interesting how our habits can become a part of who we are?
What do you think about this idea?
I hope you give it a shot this week.
2. Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch
Have you ever found yourself standing at a crossroads in life, faced with uncertainty that triggers feelings of fear, anxiety, and self-doubt?
In such moments, there’s a powerful approach that can light your way. Pause and reflect on a fundamental question: "What course of action would be driven by love?"
By centering your choices around this core concept, you can navigate the complexities with grace.
Neale Donald Walsch, renowned for his series ‘Conversations with God’, offers a similar perspective. He proposes that we ask, "What would God do?" and then follow through with that decision.
Choosing love as your guide can bring you inner peace, and harmony, and align you with your truest self, leading you towards a path of spiritual growth and fulfillment.
Making the most loving decision from moment to moment is the most important way to align with your higher self!
3. Never In Your Wildest Dreams
Do you often take responsibility for all the good and the bad in your life?
The thing is, you, and you alone, are 100% responsible for your life and everything you find in it.
This is the first lesson in my best-selling book: Never In Your Wildest Dreams.
Though the story focuses on a fictional character named Katherine Murray, it is based on my real-life experiences. It's a transformational story that will help you tap into your hidden gifts and create a life of passion, purpose, and prosperity.
You'll learn with Katherine as she uncovers the secrets to a successful life, just like I did. As the author, I wanted to take the reader on a journey that they could relate to while encouraging them to manifest their own dream life.
In my book, I share the importance of taking responsibility for your own life by becoming aware.
We become aware by remembering that we have a choice in how we respond to a situation.
Evaluate your choices and make one that leaves you feeling good about yourself and the journey you're on.
It's also important to recognize when something is your fault and openly acknowledge it.
Don't play the blame game! It may sound simple, but it's amazing how often people blame others when things don't go the way they expect they should.
Now, this is just one of the many unique life lessons you’ll learn inside my book, but what I love most about it is we take it a step further by taking you behind the scenes to participate in a multimedia experience by going "Inside the Chapters".
Inside, you will find videos from me that offer a unique perspective to explain the life lesson Katherine is going through, how it relates to my personal experiences, and how you can put this lesson to work for you immediately to manifest your Wildest Dreams.
