A Magic Technique To Rapidly Change Limiting Beliefs (Part 2)

In last week’s blog, we explored what limiting beliefs are and where they come from. If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, I highly recommend checking it out before continuing here!

Today, we’re diving into how you can transform these deep-seated subconscious beliefs for good.

If you often catch yourself thinking things like:

  • "Rich people are greedy..."

  • "I'm not good enough..."

  • "I inherited fat genes..."

  • "I'm destined to be single..."

These are likely old, deep-rooted beliefs that were ingrained in your mind during childhood and they’re often not your fault!

If any of these resonate with you, take a moment to ask yourself the following six questions:

  1. Do you often feel like things just don’t work out for you?

  2. Are you frequently blocked or sabotaged when pursuing your goals?

  3. When you look back on past situations, can you identify recurring patterns?

  4. Think about the last time you felt upset—what caused it, and why did it affect you so deeply?

  5. Do you find yourself facing the same challenges repeatedly?

  6. Do similar things consistently trigger strong emotions?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you’re likely dealing with limiting beliefs that may be holding you back.

I encourage you to reflect on these questions and take 15 minutes to meditate on your insights. Because these beliefs are often rooted deep within your subconscious, meditation can help you access and understand them better.

Remember, it might take a few sessions to break past the surface-level ego—so be patient, and keep a pen and paper handy to jot down any thoughts that arise during your meditations.

In my own journey, I uncovered many limiting beliefs with the help of Lynda, an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) trainer.

As I reflected, I realized I’d unknowingly adopted patterns since childhood. Here are two examples:

  1. Whenever my ex-husband and I discussed money, I’d avoid the conversation and say things like, “Well, money isn’t that important.”

  2. When finances were tight, I would procrastinate instead of taking proactive steps, somehow hoping that the situation would resolve itself.

I used to avoid anything I perceived as negative around money. But today, I’m more in control of my thoughts, and they’re now focused on abundance:

  • "I can easily pay this bill."

  • "I feel fantastic paying this bill before the due date."

  • "I love shopping because I can afford what I want."

  • "Money is abundant and available to me."

So, how do we overcome these limiting beliefs? Here’s a simple 4-step process:

  1. Become Aware – Recognize negative thoughts and triggers.

  2. Release the Energy – This could be through physical activity or setting a strong intention to let go.

  3. Forgiveness – Forgive others or yourself for past pain.

  4. Adopt a New Thought – Decide on empowering thoughts to replace old programming.

By following these steps, you can begin to release the beliefs that no longer serve you and replace them with ones that support your goals and aspirations.
