Keeping your chakras in balance and aligned has a huge impact on your health, well-being and your ability to stay in flow with the Universe. That’s why I regularly check in with my own energy to ensure that my chakras are in balance. You can use the same exercises I use to keep my chakras healthy and balanced in your own life!
One technique I use to keep my chakras aligned is to recite affirmations specific to each of the 7 chakras in my body. For example, to help balance my root chakra, I look in the mirror and say:
“I am connected to my body.”
And to keep my heart chakra aligned, I say:
“I am open to love.”
Practicing positive affirmations is a technique I use daily to keep my vibrational energy flowing and maintain a healthy chakra balance. But how do you know if your chakras are out of balance?
Well, there happens to be a number of ways to determine this and to decide if you need to incorporate some energy healing or more fine-tuned chakra healing into your daily life. Similar to the nervous system or cardiovascular system, your chakra refers to the energetic system swirling in your body, and there are 7 chakras that both transmit and receive energy:
#1: The Root Chakra
Located at the tailbone, the Root Chakra is responsible for our connectedness with the Earth (grounding).
#2: The Sacral Chakra
The Sacral Chakra is located in the middle of the abdomen, two inches below and inward of the navel. This is our creative life force, helping us to enjoy life on Earth.
#3: The Solar Plexus
Located at the stomach / upper abdomen, the Solar Plexus Chakra is also known as the Warrior Chakra, and gives us our self-confidence, sense of identity, and personal power.
#4: The Heart Chakra
The Heart Chakra provides our ability to relate to everything connected to the heart through love, compassion, empathy, kindness, etc. It provides love for ourselves and love for others, and is located at the center of the chest, above the heart.
#5: The Throat Chakra
The Throat Chakra is located in the throat and helps us to voice our personal truths and gives us the ability to speak clearly and convincingly.
#6: The Third Eye Chakra
Located right between the eyes, the function of our Third Eye Chakra is our extrasensory/intuitive/psychic perception. It’s what opens our minds to what’s beyond the five senses.
#7: The Crown Chakra
Right at the top of the head, the Crown Chakra is our thought and conscious energy. It’s what connects us to the entire universe.
As you can see from the intricacies and interconnectedness around our chakras, it’s important to take note of our energy levels and the potential triggers in life that can impact them. It may be hard to notice on the outside, but certain habits, environments, and emotions can drain us of the energy we need to keep in optimal alignment.
