Why Do You Keep Seeing Repeating Numbers Everywhere?

On this week’s blog, we share a post from blogger Chris H! Enjoy :-)

Our lives are full of numbers.

We are constantly surrounded by them and they carry important information that allow us to live our lives. But numbers are not simply a human construct.

The Universe is constructed according to a geometric plan. This is why the same geometric patterns and number sequences show up in the seeming chaos of nature. This makes numbers like the DNA of the Universe. In the same way that human DNA carries information about who we are, numbers carry information about the Universe, both physical and spiritual.

Most religions suggest that alongside this physical plane in which we dwell, there is a parallel spiritual plane that exists just beyond a veil. Just like we occupy the physical plan, most belief systems suggest that other beings occupy the spiritual plane, and that some of these beings are concerned with helping us.

These entities are often referred to collectively as Angels.

The vast majority of us cannot really sense Angels or the spiritual plane. They may give us certain feelings or intuitions, but we cannot communicate with them directly. This means that Angels are limited in how that can communicate with us, as they must send us messages that we can perceive. Something that Angels can do is nudge us to notice things in the physical world around us. This could be anything, and this is why we often see ‘a sign’ in moments of need.

According to Steve Aitchison, angels will often nudge us to see numbers. This is not only because they are ubiquitous and therefore available when a message needs to be sent, but also because they carry specific information that we can decipher.

Interpreting Angel Numbers

The first step in interpreting the numerical messages that Angels share with us is to recognize them. If the same number or sequence of numbers shows up repeatedly over a short period of time, this can be an indication that they are a message. As a general rule of thumb, seeing the same sequence three times within a two-day period is significant.

However, it is not just the frequency with which numbers appear that suggest that they contain a message. The accompanying nudge that we receive to notice the number will usually give us a feeling that something unusual or important is happening. It pricks something in our intuition that calls for us to pay attention. Listen to this intuition.

As to what the message might relate to, pay attention to what is on your mind in the moments that the number appears, or consider what has been preoccupying your thoughts over the days when you have received these signs. Angels will rarely send a message like this out of the blue, as these would be too difficult for us to interpret. They will usually send us messages in direct response to questions we have or challenges that we are facing. They will also reveal them to us at a time or within a context where they are relevant and we can make sense of them. They want their messages to be understood.

The meanings of the different numbers are multifaceted and often complex, and it is up to us to use our intuition and our deep understanding of our own circumstances to interpret what they are trying to tell us.

Interpreting the Numbers

Numbers will appear individually, but they will often appear in sequences of three digits, as these are more striking that single our double digits and we are more likely to notice them. Often, we will see the same number repeated three times, such as 222, emphasizing the meaning of the cardinal number 2.

Mixed number sequences also appear in order to provide a more nuanced message. For example, we might see the number 121 or 248. In these cases, the central number is the strongest number within the message, and the surrounding numbers offer nuance.

Number sequences can also be reduced to one of the cardinal single digit numbers (1-9) or one of the three Master Numbers (11, 22, 33) to provide further meaning. For example, the number 222 is also linked with the number 6 as 2+2+2=6. The number 121 is linked with the number 4 as 1+2+1=4. Meanwhile the number 248 is linked with the number 5 as 2+4+8=14 which is further reduced to 1+4=5.

This may be especially important if you encounter sequences longer than three digits, as the additional digits may exist in order to provide this extra level of nuance. If you want to read more into the meanings of number sequences and angel numbers, we recommend visiting Numerology Sign.

Meaning of the Numbers

Understanding the meanings of all the different numbers is the study of a lifetime. Fortunately, if you see a specific number there are lots of resources that experts have shared online to help you interpret it, or you could consult an expert personally if it is a particularly challenging situation. However, below is a general guide to the meaning of the individual cardinal numbers that can be used as a starting point for interpretation.

Number 1

The number 1 should be treated as a wake-up call that is asking you to sit up and pay attention to what is happening around you. It is usually a good omen that something positive is coming your way. However, it does not suggest that you should just wait for this good luck to hit you. The number 1 is a symbol of our ability and responsibility to create our lives through our actions and decisions.

Number 2

The number 2 represents harmony, duality and relationships. It may appear in moments when we need to prioritize concord over self-interest. It also reminds us that we are complex beings with many talents and that it is entirely possible to be more than one thing at the same time. It will also often appear when we need to pay attention to an important relationship, either to heal it, or because we have the opportunity to nurture it and take it to the next level.

Number 3

The number 3 is a symbol of communication, both listening and expressing. It will show up when we should prioritize our communication and interaction with others. It may suggest that we need to pay more attention to what someone is trying to tell us, both with their words and without. It can also warn us to be careful in how we express ourselves, as perhaps our outward projection is not matching our inward intention.

Number 4

The number 4 is linked with our network, family, friends and others. It often carries messages about the community that we have around us. It can be a reminder that while we need to be independent and pursue our own goals, we did not get where we are alone, and we should be grateful to those who have helped and supported us. It may also remind us to occasionally look around and see who might need a hand up.

Number 5

The number 5 is a harbinger of change, and when it appears, we can be sure that change is on the horizon. Change can be one of the most challenging things that we face in our lives. It can be a reminder that change happens because we need it to, and that the attitude with which we approach a change can have a significant impact on how it will influence our lives. The number 5 reminds us to look for the positive.

Number 6

The number 6 is connected with the material world and abundance in terms of material things such as finances, work and home. It usually indicates a new opportunity on the financial or professional front, and calls on us to have the foresight and confidence to take advantage of something. The number 6 may also indicate the need for balance between material and spiritual concerns.

Number 7

The number 7 is linked with our internal world and can often be a call for self-reflection. It can indicate that we are entering a learning phase of our lives and that it is a good time to seek knowledge through formal learning or informal experience. It can also signal that something that is happening in your life at the moment is meant to teach you an important lesson.

Number 8

The number 8 is an indicator of choices and consequences. It will often be revealed to us when we have reached a point when we need to make a choice, often a choice that we have been avoiding for some reason. It is also a reminder that our actions have consequences and to consider the results of choices that we are making. Are we willing to pay the long term price for a short term benefit?

Number 9

The last of the cardinal numbers, the number 9 represents the completion of something and endings. While endings can be moments of triumph, they are also often very difficult as it usually means losing something. The number 9 can call on us to let go, as endings are always also beginnings, and we only have the ability to move forward if we leave things of the past behind.

A note on the Number 0

It is relatively unusual to see the number 0, but it does happen. This is because the number 0 represents both everything and nothing at the same time, both infinity and the void. It suggests that everything is possible, but carries no specific building blocks to give the future shape. It can show up when we feel like we have hit rock bottom to remind us that there is something liberating about having a clean slate.

Conclusion

If the same numbers appear to you repeatedly over a short period of time, and you feel in your gut that this is more than just coincidence, listen to your intuition. It is very likely that Angels are trying to send you a message that will help you along your life’s path. Consider what is the most important thing that has been on your mind, and how the numerical message that they have shared with you might guide your thoughts and actions.
