How to Always Make The BEST Decisions In Life

When you’re at a crossroads in life…

Do you follow your head or your heart?

Oftentimes in life, we consume ourselves with the worry of trying to decide which one to follow.

You don’t want to be controlled so much by your heart that you forget logic, yet you don’t want to follow your head so much that you forget about what really matters to you.

However, if you think about it, our minds and hearts are connected, which is why when we face a challenge in life and before we make an important decision, we must use ALL of our inner resources.

So the BEST decision is in fact not to choose your heart over your head or vice versa, but to actually instead learn how to listen to both.

In today’s blog post, I’d like to share with you 3 life tips on how to listen to your head AND heart so you can always make the BEST decisions in life that support your higher self.

Tip 1. Learn when to switch your mind on and off.

Overthinking can feel like a curse when you’re trying to make a difficult decision, yet it’s important to remember that sometimes it’s wiser to use that power to your advantage.

So instead of trying to control your mind, just let it speak to you while you assess the pros and cons. Write down everything your mind just revealed to you and pause.

Take a few minutes to sit quietly with your eyes closed. Take 10 deep breaths and during this time, try not to think about the choice.

Now, go back to what you wrote and acknowledge your feelings. How does your body feel when you think about one option vs. the other?

Use all of these discoveries to then decide what’s best for you.

Tip 2. Assess your values.

Ask yourself, ‘What are the most important things in life for me?’

Is it family, career, your health?

Then use these answers to make your most important decisions. Even though it may sometimes be easier to just go with the flow, remember that it’s always most important to make a decision that supports your values.

Tip. 3. Enjoy the ride.

Regret is the LAST thing you want to add to your list of worries, so after you take action, make sure to move forward, release your expectations and enjoy the ride.

Whatever you decide, celebrate the fact that you’ve taken action. Acknowledge the beauty in the new experiences that lie ahead and be grateful for them, as they’ll allow you to become stronger and wiser.
