How to Create Successful New Year's Resolutions!

Did you know that gyms and fitness clubs see a massive boost in new members each January?

I'm sure it's no surprise that health and wellness goals are some of the most popular resolutions each year...

- I need to exercise more.
- I want to lose weight.
- I plan to eat healthier.
- I will take my vitamins.
- I will drink more water.
- I want to kick bad habits.

And while all of these intentions are good ones to have, the truth is that how you set your goals, plays a major part in how successful you'll actually be.

You see, years ago when I lived in Sydney, I used to work at a fitness center in the city. And I can remember firsthand, how with each passing day after the New Year, the number of new faces would start to dwindle...

And in just a few weeks, most of the new members would cease to exist, completely!

Now, even back then I was interested in Personal Development and helping people reach their goals, but this was before I knew about the Law of Attraction...

So I couldn't figure out why so many people, even those with the best of intentions, would almost undoubtedly fall short. It was almost like something deep inside of them wouldn't let them succeed. And this is what I eventually came to realize...

1. Many resolutions are created from a place of frustration and fear, rather than with an abundant mindset.

2. Most people phrase resolutions as something they hope to attain in the future, rather than now, which sends a confusing message to the Universe.

Here's the thing...

Even though most everyone starts off with good intentions, I've found that people who actually use specific, focused and uplifting affirmations, have been able to achieve health success much faster and maintain it for longer.

I'm a HUGE believer in the power of positive affirmations, they are incredibly effective for shifting negative or disempowering thoughts that may be wreaking havoc in your mind, and instead, allow you to view your goal from an abundant mindset.

Also, when you consistently say affirmations that are aligned with what you want in the here and now, you'll eventually shift your thinking more towards what you DO desire in your life... and your experience will soon reflect those desires!

Here are a few of my favorite health affirmations: 

1. I am healthy and happy.
2. I love and respect my body.
3. I eat nutritious foods.
4. I easily maintain my perfect weight.
5. I have an abundance of energy.
6. I am strong, flexible, and fit.
7. I enjoy eating fruits and vegetables daily.
8. I am in control of my health.
9. I love my fitness program.
